Took my teenage daughter to NYC for first time, wanted to stay in cool place (nice fishtank in lobby), between times square and central park. Showed up at noon, and requested high room, outside for view (also had requested this on internet). Came back at 6 pm, given inside room on 1st floor. When expressed dissatisfaction with what had transpired, changed to outside room on 12th, but opened window and view entirely blocked by cement wall of outside building cornice (they didnt know this at the front desk???). Finally got 2nd floor outside room. Asst mgr treated me as if I was a big bother, didnt make it up to us at all. Old building converted, so tiny elevators, small rooms. Nice beds, nice plasma TV, great bell staff, location good with subway 50 feet away, and between Times square and central park. Also noisy at night due to 55th st, and the two clubs in the hotel.. Better places to stay in the area. Okay for one time, but wouldnt stay there again.

We had a great time here at "The Dream". Our room was very small by regular hotel standards, it is right on Broadway, only a block from "The Late Show". Times Square fray is about four blocks away. There is a reasonable place to get coffee and eat across the street. ($* for coffee) The room has blue lights in the desk and under the bed....coolness! Great robes, extra soft bed and very clean. Quiet as well. Club on the roof (chic') All in all good time. As everything in NY you pay for internet, $* per day.

I found this hotel on travel website and picked it due to the wonderful website and great location. I upgraded the hotel room as I was traveling with somebody and wanted to have a bigger bed. I arrived and was quickly greeted by both the front door man and the check in people. I told my travel guest to prepare to jump from the hallway to the bed, as I knew it would be small, but we walked in and kept walking from room to room. We had been upgraded by the hotel to a fabulous one room suite. We had two full bathrooms, one very large living room and a very large bedroom both complete with full mini bars and Bose radios. Phenomenal room!! We also found champagne chilling and a plate of strawberries courtesy of my family. As it was my birthday we headed up to the Penthouse bar and had some very yummy drinks. I am still raving about this hotel and found the location, the amenities, and the room a dream!

The hotel was nice enough. The rooms large - the bedding excellent, the staff really terrific. The corner room we had was great-- 308- but if you want to sleep forget it. The garbage across the street begins pick-up around 11:00 pm and continues pretty much all night- the truck leaves -and just when you get back to sleep -it comes back and the dumping grinding and gnashing begins all over again. After the second night we kind of became accustomed to the noise ( toilet paper in our ears) But then there were the People across the hall who apparently rented the room for a party . Well a few rooms for a party - the music was at club level, doors slammed shut all night , people partied in the halls- now I am known to have fun on an occasion myself- but this was highschool level party stuff. The manager tried to quell the outburst- and did so at least 4 times. Like the garbage truck they would quiet themselves just long enough for me and my husband to drift back to sleep- then BANG another shutting door, Loud music and cell phone call in the hallway. Whats wrong with this picture...Although the manager was accommodating he should really have taken control over the situation. 2 Thumbs down.
